Dan made a short pitstop at home this weekend in between work in Illinois and a job interview in Delaware. He just left a few minutes ago for the airport to catch a flight to Baltimore. He’s interviewing for a job in Delaware, stopping in for a short visit with my family and also getting the chance to spend a little time with our good friends from college and their new baby. I knitted up these slippers for the new babe this weekend. Also peeking out in the picture is a diaper cloth (that i just added a little ribbon detail to), and a little fluffy sheep that are going along as well. It was a struggle for my girls to let go of that little lamb and send it off to someone else!
The booties are from this book which is one of those books where I want to make every pattern inside.
And of course I had to include this picture of my wacky little girl. This is what she came downstairs in first thing this morning. She doesn’t waste any time in the morning. I forced her to put a tshirt over the slip because we still aren’t out of the single digits outside. I hesitate to say this, but why does this picture of her remind me of cyndi lauper??!! Wait until she finds out that this little number is actually a SLIP and not a dress! She’ll be heartbroken this summer!
yeah but who is going to tell her that it’s not a dress??
I love her style, always puts a smile on my face.So is there a possibility you may be moving?
Those booties are so cute and Emma is as adorable as always 🙂
I love the booties–I’m trying a booties pattern from a Debbie Bliss baby book. I’m liking them so far, but sewing them together could be another story. I may wait for Nancy Ann to come to London. I’m so jealous of Dan getting to see the MD fam–I can’t wait for your dad and crew to come here.Emma’s dressing up reminds me of me and my sister. I used to beg my mom to let me wear her slips, and when Keeley, was 4 she ran around for an entire summer in a too-small flannel dress that she refused to give up (with no underwear), and later in a tutu from one of my old ballet classes. Love you!
My girls are so the same!Eccentric dressing rules in our house!Today Josie chose cow print trousers, rose print top and her sisters shoes-just gorgeous!
Great style. I remember doing the same thing with a slip. I was allowed to run around in the back yard that way, but not go out. I lived 🙂
That is great dan has an interview! Keep us posted!
Those booties are so cute Molly, they almost make me sad that I don’t have any babes here to fit in them (almost…) Hope Dan’s trip is great. Emma, you look way better than Cyndi Lauper.
adorableboth the slippersand the fashion sense:)
She does look like Cyndi!! I love those black boots she’s wearing, very cute.
Hey, girls just wanna have fun!
Wait until she wants to start dyeing her hair. Then you’re in for trouble.
Love the boots!
Oh gosh, that Emma is too cute! I’m so envious of all you knitters 😉
jon used to travel 5 days a week!!! for 5 years! it was nuts! Love the booties!
