Things to love and a bonus

1. A pre-bed pile up in the backyard.

2. Embroidered cyanotypes

3. This kitchen scene

4. This lovely little path.

5. Forgetting. Then remembering, this CD.

6. This playhouse.

7. This moment that feels so true to my crazy little family, including the begging. And yes, the duck came, too. And seriously, why do they always talk me into getting the big, unweildy truck cart? Because they NEVER ride in it. Obviously.

8. This gave me a chuckle.

9. This is huge.

10. And this, totally inspired me. (via DesignMom

BONUS: Know what I don't love? Stink bugs. If you have no idea what these are, thank your lucky stars. But, seriously, if I get dive-bombed one more time while reading in my bed, or sitting here working at my desk, I may just cry. I'm sorry, but I can't find any reason to be grateful for stink bugs.

  1. And while we’re on the subject, I also don’t like stepping on them in the middle of the night when I’m groggily making my way to the bathroom, or into a crying baby’s room. 🙂

  2. we have some pet toads – we’ve had them for about 4 years in an aquarium. so when i find a stink bug – it goes into the toad’s cage and gets devoured almost immediately, which makes me feel good.

that gratitude project reminded me of this book, which maybe you know. it’s really great and very similiar, but with a christian perspective. http://www.amazon.com/One-Thousand-Gifts-Fully-Right/dp/0310321913/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337687971&sr=8-1

  3. ohh stinkbugs. I’ve only seen a small number so far this year, but they can be SO awful! I’ve definitely been dive-bombed too– not jealous 🙁

    Love the list though!

  4. The stink bugs in my area are definitely getting worse. This is compounded by the fact that my almost 7 year old INSISTS that we not “dispose” of them. Anytime he finds one, he catches it and lets it go outside. While I find this sweet, anytime we catch them they either go in the toilet or down to the bathtub/brooder where our chicks quickly take care of them.

  5. Ohh the stink bugs!! They just seem to Always be in season, They’re like an uninvited guest that never leaves!

I’ve got more of an issue with the mosquito eaters(crane flys) though…they seem to gravitate towards my face…

  6. Oh my goodness we are being infested with stink bugs this year!! We NEVER see them in our house and they are now here all the time and I can’t figure out why or how. I didn’t even know they could fly! At night I will go into my bathroom to brush my teeth and they wait for me and fly down all around me. I do not like them either!! I love the store photo by the way!
