broken down

Do you see what I'm up against?

DSC_0017

What I'm tripping over as I step from kitchen to mudroom to the outdoors?

Do you see what cries to me while I'm making dinner, tiny little grey paws padding at the door, begging to come inside and toddle around my linoleum floor?

Piles of fluff and wisps of hair flopped together with milk-taugh tummies and tiny pink tongues, paws draped over each other.

they break you down...

Even my husband, not-so-fond-of-cats, has been caught cooing a word or two to them as he passes through.

They break you down, I tell you.

  1. o my. i got up to 3 cats. then down to none ;-(.. and am up to 2, again. 2 too many, sometimes. but, if i saw these … i would not let them go. And we’d be up to 4.”Dima” (short”i”)is russian for smoke ;-), if you’re looking for names….

  2. GASP! Those are the most beautiful little kittens I have ever seen! Their colours are pure art.

    Thank you for sharing 🙂

  3. Kitties! Santa brought two brothers, both black and white – now they are getting into serious mischief around here! But we love them anyway!

  4. They are very sweet. I am not fond of cats at all. We had one for 13 years and it was truly the longest 13 years ever! (I went in to it with an open heart and then promptly realized cats are not for me) There is a reason kittens are so cute. They suck you in and before you know it you have a full grown cat to contend with!

  5. Oh MY! Wish my 2 8-year-olds would love another! I can remember when they fit in one hand. As I write I’ve one 12 pounder draped around my neck “hugging” me and making me a one handed typist again.
