Good morning! We're expecting a week of stormy weather here, and I have to admit, I'm kind of looking forward to it. Getting my children to buckle down to any sort of school work when the sun is shining has been close to impossible lately. At this rate, we will be schooling year round.
A few bits that caught my eye over the weekend….
I think we need a TREEpee.
This might be the solution to a lot of wasted space above my washing machine.
Rope bracelets might make a fun summer project.
I want to make a set of these for my classroom.
I need a good pattern for these, because I want them to be Birdy's summer uniform.
Good for my french, good for the eyes.
On my shopping list: lemons.
Dear Dan. Build me one of these and I'll do a better job of canning the beans.
Bonnie Raitt does it beautifully, but I might like this one just as much.
Happy Monday, friends.
What's catching your eye lately?
I'll be back tomorrow with a chicken update!

I just found your blog for the first time through Circle of Moms… you have such a beautiful blog! So simple and inspiring 🙂
Ooh I like that crate with the preserves. I always wish mine were on display a bit more. I mean, I work really hard to make them.
you DEFINITELY need yours on display. Your work is beautiful.
I also love the wall that shows off the preserves! I can here and there and am always so proud of my work. The colors make me happy… but then I have to keep them in the basement and that makes me sad. All of those pretty jars gathering dust where no one will see them!I am the one who contacted you a few weeks ago to talk about chickens. Can I just tell you how excited I am to read about your chicken update tomorrow?! I have had chickens on the brain… so much so I dream about them almost every night. My husband thinks I might need an intervention 😉
Okay, I gotta make those rocks!
I love the crates as a preserves display shelf too!! A kitchen remodel is SO the last thing we have time or money for now — and truly our kitchen is pleasant and large enough with lots of space, it’s just not my dream kitchen — it’s fun to dream.
And oh my gosh, olivelse! How does she manage to make a mess in the girls’ room look so beautiful?
love all this! ikea sells a wall-mounted laundry drying rack like that … but not so shabby-chic as the one you posted (emphasis on the chic, of course).
love reading your blog. find that for the first time I must comment on the treepee–I must have one! Let us know if you find a US distributor please. and thanks for sharing parts of you with us out here.
That french home!!
That drying rack!!!
Oh my. Thanks for this list of linky goodness.
