good news. bad news. fun news.

good news : Birdy is doing much, much better. In the last four days, I've really seen a turn around in her fussiness. Now the question is whether it's really acid reflux or she's just getting older and more adjusted to this world. Either way, I'm not complaining…neither is she.

bad news : We had our first daytime fox-sighting this afternoon. When they start coming out in the afternoons, it's bad news. Emma ran after it, banging on the stainless steel dog bowl, since I had an armful of baby. Brave girl. Thankfully, all the chickens and the duck are accounted for.

fun news : A few months ago, when I wrote a Show & Tell post about BLUSH undershirts, I realized that many people who read this blog were either expecting or had a newborn at home, just like me. It started the seed of an idea in my head — that I wanted to put together a little baby celebration, of sorts. A week of reviews and giveaways for all these new mothers. So, starting this evening I have put together a week-long celebration of Show & Tell posts, all geared to having a new baby at home. (And if you don't have a new baby –there are one or two giveaways in there for everyone). I have an armload of amazing things to share with you and I'm really, really excited. I thought about letting you know all the great giveaways ahead of time, but I think I'll keep it a secret and let you in on the surprise each day! So get ready and have fun!

  1. Woohoo! We have number three arriving here very soon as well. I’m looking forward to seeing what you have put together with your reviews and such–and very glad to hear that small Birdy is feeling better.

  2. Oh exciting news! I am expecting number three, and haven’t done a thing to get ready…

Actually I haven’t done much of anything period, other than lay around wishing I felt better.

I’m happy to hear Birdy is doing better!

  3. fun! we have a newborn over here:)how did you find the time to put that together? sneaky as a fox, you are;)

  4. my latest spent about six weeks being very upset with being out in the world. let me add, a relentlessly miserable six weeks. we thought it may be acid reflux too and some other things. but then one day my mother told me, “you know, you were the same way. it just took you a little longer to get used to things and then once you hit six weeks, we couldn’t get you to stop smiling.” it meant so much to me after three weeks of struggle. xo

  5. I’m very glad your little Birdy is feeling better. I know how wonderful it feels when you turn a corner in this way. I’m with you – with my fourth baby a few months older than yours – and it feels like time is flying this time/
