I’ve really made a mess of things over here at mollycoddle. I haven’t been giving my blog much style and content attention lately, so with my little lazy dial-up connection, I’ve been trying to slowly make a few changes. As you can see, I’ve only been successful at rearranging the order of my sidebars (which wasn’t even my intent) and changing the band of color running down the sides. (also not my intent)
According to my sidebar, I’ve been listening to the same four CD’s since Christmas, my children haven’t ventured to read anything beyond a few short stories out of poppleton, nothing good has come from my kitchen since fiberballs, and the last thing I knitted was a holiday gift!(well, that may be true, i’ll have to think about that one.)
Not only that, I realize that my sidebar is sadly neglecting the wonderfully inspiring blogs that I visit daily. I’m not sure I’ve updated that since I began blogging and we all know that the little sidebar is a wonderful way to share eachother’s blogs and expand our little community.
So, bear with me, as I make a few changes…or at least try. I’m hoping to enlist a little help with my blog banner because I hate fiddling with the pixels….
And could someone PLEASE give me a lesson on importing my feeds from bloglines? There’s got to be an easy way to do this!!
I was just reading an email from my mom who was commenting on how nice it was to catch up with me by reading my blog. Her ironic typo said, "it’s wonderful bogging with you!" That’s about what I have right now–a bog. A murky mess. So please be patient as I try to drain off some of the sludge and find dry ground around here somewhere.
And when I become un-stuck I have much to share–including lots of wonderful swappy things wingy their into my mailbox and beyond.
So funny, but I know exactly what you mean. How easy can it be to rearrange and put new things in on dial-up? At least you’ve gotten your money’s worth out of those CD’s and the kid’s books, right? xo
Your bog looks quite alright to me ;)))
I agree, your blog looks quite fine….I just started using bloglines so I am absolutely no help….I am one step away from computer illiteracy! Sad but true
ayyyee..don’t be so hard on yourself…your blog is still one of the onesi HAVE to check every day…it is always a source of inspiration:)
I know just what you are talking about. I finally made lots of updates to my blog recently after thinking about it for weeks. But I just knew I’d have to spend an entire evening doing it–and I have DSL! Although I love your blog the way it is, change is good and I’m sure it will be worth the wait! 😉
I just spent a few weeks redesigning my blog (moved away from Blogger!) to SAVE time. Ha! But it was worth it. I think. 🙂
I still look forward to reading your blog- changes or not!
Things already look lovely around here – but I’ll be excited to see your changes. Perhaps it’ll be motivational for those of us dreading the challenge of redecorating our own….
I love visiting here, it looks like you’ve got it all together to me! And I agree you’re being way too hard on yourself.
Oh yes, bloglines has made it easy. On bloglines main page they have a tab on the top for share. Go there and then just enter your user name, then push “generate html”, and then copy and paste it into your blog template.
I still enjoy visiting your bog! You gotta love our moms.Just don’t do what I did and accidently delete the whole thing, then everything will have to be new..LOL
Yea, it’s hard to find the time to change things up. According to my blog I’ve been reading the same books for like 6 months, oh well, i’ll change it sometime.
Hey, I know a fun author who also designs blog banners. She’s a typepad girl, too.
You can find her at

And she just moved from Baltimore last year! Please visit her site; I think you’ll like her wit and style!
I’m still laughing – your technical knowledge is waaaay beyond mine!!!
Can’t wait to see your new swap stuff. Love the embellished tees. Planning on doing that for my daughter too.
I just discovered your blog and was quite tickled by you commenting that your mother called it a bog as my mother calls mine a blob! (Your’s looks much nicer than mine!)
