Risky Business and a new project

Img_2720

Everyone is in love with this doll house, even Henry. Maybe because Emma sets it up as "Henry’s Restaurant" and puts his food and water dish inside. Still, food or not, I find him rummaging around the upstairs floor of the dollhouse or getting in a little "quality time" with one of the dolls.

(Look at those claws!)

Emma tells me that Henry is a very "risky" (frisky) cat. I have to agree now that I’ve had him pounce on my face and bite me in the cheek. I guess sitting on the sofa watching TV is an open invitation for play with a 12 week old kitten.

I pulled together these fabrics yesterday to begin a project for Mary. I’ll post more about it when I have a better plan, and when there isn’t a little babe crying in the background….

  1. Oh! I have that same floral starburst fabric from JoAnn’s!! I’ve used it as the lining for a couple of handbags but am hoarding the rest! It’s my favorite!

Love the dollhouse! I tired to convince my son to let me buy him a vintage Fisher Price one from 1980; he wasn’t having it. I should’ve bought it anyway for me!

  2. Your photos make me miss my kitty, but he wasn’t as “risky” as Henry looks (oh my, what is he doing to that helpless little doll?). I can’t wait to see what you make with those fabrics, I love the contrast of the small prints mixed with the bigger prints.

  3. I have that starburst fabric too 😀 I love it but have just been hoarding it away; I’m thinking I may make pillows from it. I can’t wait to see your new project! Thanks for sharing your Henry pictures, he’s such a rascal 🙂

  4. Oh that Henry, what a crack up! Your fabric is so pretty! Where can I find some of the white one with large flower circle pattern? (that was a lame description, sheesh..) I love light blue and brown together.

  5. Your Henry reminds me a lot of my Oreo – he’s quite “risky” cat too. It has taken quite a while to get used to living with a kitten again.
