New Year, New Look

New Year, New Look

Wow. I'm overwhelmed tonight. Thank you, friends, for your amazing response to the Habit project. I'm so glad it is as meaningful to so many of you, as it has been to me and Emily. And that you just 'get it'. Thank you.

There have been so many things that I've been wanting to share with all of you, so I'm really excited to be revealing all these things this week.

Along with my project with Emily, I've also been working to give this little blog a makeover. I've been wanting to make a bunch of changes for several months now–make things a little easier to navigate, put all the good stuff in one place, add some more elements to my blog…and finally it has all come together. After many hours working on my pathetic DSL (might as well be dial-up) connection and some good work sessions at the library (thank you, Dan), it's all in place. There are still a few more things I'd like to do, but there will always be things to do…..

A big thank you to my cousin, Katie, of Designer Digitals fame, who designed this banner for me, and captured what I was looking for, based on my all-over-the-place descriptions and ideas.

So, if you're viewing this in a reader, you might want to click over and poke around.

new year, new look

You can also get to my blog now with mommycoddle.com. It was necessity, primarily for my mom. Sorry, mom. But how many times have I gotten calls from her cell, "Okay, I sitting here with my friend _____ and I was telling her all about your blog. Now what is the address again? www dot mommycoddleblog dot blogpad dot com, or is it notepad?" Of course, now that I have a working, simple, web address, she's signed up for my email subscription…but it does make it easier for everyone, not just you, mother dear.

And tomorrow (Wednesday), to celebrate the new year, and the new look of things around here, I have something special planned. And then, I promise, I'll be done with all these secrets…..for now.

  1. looking good molly! here and over at habit. love the picture of bon ami today from sarah, and i can relate to the mess of firewood and twigs. love the heat, hate the mess. it’s my new mission to sweep the hearth area at least once a day. trying to form a new habit, if you will.

  2. Yay Molly, looks great. I also loved the habit project. It feels very much like my life, the life of a Mother with young ones, which I suppose is the point, lol. I’ve been tossing around the idea of adding ads to my blog to justify being able to spend more time in this space. It is a little harder to put a lot of crafty items on the ole’ blog once you actually start getting paid to put them elsewhere, you know?

  3. I’m loving Habit, Molly- but I can’t see the new banner! I’m in Safari, if that helps you.

It’s fun to turn over a new leaf, isn’t it? It’s been loads of fun for me to get back to blogging after such a long break.

I feel just as if we were old friends, you and I. 😉

    xo, K

  4. Wow, wow, wow, I can’t even type how much I love Habit! I’ve been struggling with my photography as of late (as in, zero motivation or inspiration to take pictures) and this was a lovely kickstart for me to just go back to the basics, the everyday. Thank you, friend 🙂 (Love the new banner, also!)

  5. Your new banner is tres cute Molly.

I checked out your habit project today – what a great idea! I love a glimpse, a change of perspective, a tribute to the everyday nothings that make up our universe. Good Stuff!

  8. I love your new look! It’s so you! Let me know how you do with your sponsors. I am kicking the idea around a bit and would not mind some imput.

There is some exciting riding news! Hope to catch up soon.

  9. Happy New Year to Molly!

I’ve still haven’t tried the bread you made a while back but I’m wanting to. I have that on my list. I had to laugh at your photo title. Some of the worst looking things I’ve cooked actually tasted the best.

  10. The new banner looks great and I agree with you, it fits your blog perfectly. Lovely!

I also like the look of Habit. I’ve added it to my RSS reader and I’m looking forward to see how it grows.

    Good luck!
