A Reunion of Sorts

Don’t you love it when you see or find something that strikes a memory from childhood? Something you never realized you had forgotten until that thing crossed your path again? Its for this reason that I often find myself slowly walking through the shelves and shelves of children’s books at the library–a bookjacket or spine will catch my attention and when I slide the book off the shelf memories come flooding back…when I first read this book, who read it to me, getting it from the school library, reading it at bedtime with my mom who always did (lots of great voices), or remembering why it was that I loved this book so much.
This experience happened to me just a few days ago when I stopped in to visit my mother-in-law at the toy store. I was browsing the circular rack of books and one spine caught my eye.
